The United States and Morocco reaffirmed their commitment to continue strengthening military cooperation to combat security threats, MWN reported on March 5.
The two countries reaffirmed their commitment during a visit by US Army Chief of Staff Mark Milley, who is leading a large delegation to Morocco to discuss security cooperation.
The official held talks with high-ranking colleagues in Morocco, including the ministerial delegate to the head of government in charge of the national defense department, Abdellatif Loudiyi.
Milley also met with the Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces and Commander of the South Zone, Lieutenant General Belhir El Farooq.
Morocco is “partner and great ally” United States, said Millie.
Moroccan officials and Milli also discussed the importance of the continent’s largest military exercise, dubbed the “African Lion.” Morocco has hosted US-sponsored exercises for 18 years.
In January, a meeting to plan the “African Lion-2023” military exercises was held at the military headquarters of the Southern Zone General Staff in Moroccan Agadir.
