A 44-year-old man died aboard a British airline Jet2 aircraft after several attempts by the crew to resuscitate him on Tuesday on a flight from Antalya, Turkey, to the United Kingdom. The plane was forced to make an emergency landing at Glasgow Airport in Scotland.
The crew tried for 40 minutes to resuscitate the man, but to no avail, writes a British newspaper. Mirror.
“The pilot told us that we would have to make an emergency landing due to a medical incident on board. The crew tried to resuscitate the man. People were crying. It was very sad,” one of the passengers said. . “When we landed, the paramedics arrived and we were still on the plane for about half an hour before we could leave. Everyone on the plane was very upset,” he added.
“At about 19:20 on Tuesday, March 7, we were informed that a 44-year-old man became ill on board a plane that landed at Glasgow Airport. The man was declared dead shortly thereafter,” a Scottish police spokesman said.
