At least seven people were killed and eight injured in a shooting this Thursday in Hamburg, Germany, German newspaper Bild reported.
german radio DV adds that the shooting took place in the area of the city of Alsterdorf and took place in the center of Jehovah’s Witnesses. A major police operation is underway in the Alsterdorf district. Authorities believe one of the possible shooters may have been among the dead. The German police remain without information about what motivated this shooting and cordoned off the place. A helicopter is involved in the area.
“I express my deepest condolences to the families of the victims. The police are working at full speed to track down the suspects and find out their background,” said the President of the Federal Council of Germany, Peter Chencher.
