The lost camel Zukhra was found by farmers in the Sochi mountains, the Sochi Geographical Society press service said on its VKontakte page on March 11.
The animal was in the Dragon’s Mouth Falls area.
“For more than a month, the search for the Zukhra camel, which escaped from the safari park to find food for itself, continued. Today the search was crowned with success”says the message.
The camel will be delivered to a farm in the village of Akhshtyr.
It is reported that he escaped from an abandoned safari park in the village of Akhshtyr. In early 2023, the park owners abandoned the animals. In total, there were more than 500 animals and birds on its territory. Some animals died. Some of the animals were placed in the Sochi ecological and biological center and on farms. Currently, the issue of animal placement is under the control of the Kuban environmental prosecutor’s office.
