South African rapper Costa Titch has died at the age of 28 after falling on stage while performing the last song of a concert he performed at the Ultra Music Festival in Johannesburg, South Africa, this Saturday.
The artist, whose full name is Konstantinos Tsobanoglu, died in hospital after he tripped, fell and lost consciousness during a performance.
Footage taken by fans in attendance at the concert shows the moment the artist stumbles and falls, and Costa Titch, despite getting up again, ends up passing out and falling again.
The rapper’s family later confirmed the death through a social media post thanking fans for their support. “As a family, we are facing a difficult time as we try to make sense of what happened, and so we ask for time and space to recover.”
In accordance with daily mail, Costa Titch started out as a backup dancer and then started a career as a rapper. He was already considered a rising star in South African music, receiving the award shortly after entering the industry in 2020. He recently signed with singer Akon’s publisher, Konvict Kulture.
