The Ministry of Agriculture of Bulgaria announced its position regarding the open protest of grain producers from three regions of northern Bulgaria announced today in connection with the duty-free import of grain from Ukraine on March 13, reports Radio Bulgarian national.

“Cereal producers have a partner in the Ministry, which always works to protect Bulgarian producers”, — assures its management. And he points out that Bulgaria was the first country that, within the framework of the Council of Ministers of Agriculture -at the end of September last year- demanded the opening of an anti-crisis reserve.
In the last days of January, European Commissioner Janusz Wojciechowski said that the European Commission is considering such a measure, but there is no decision yet.
Poland, Hungary, Romania and the Czech Republic were also affected by the situation and joint measures were taken with them.
