The results of youth competitions between teams of saber fencers were summed up on November 3 in Togliatti, the press service of the Russian Fencing Federation reports.
23 teams from the following Russian regions competed for medals in the All-Russian tournament as part of the Spartakiad Martial Arts “Invincible Power”: Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, Saratov, Chelyabinsk, Voronezh regions and the Republic of Tatarstan. Athletes under the age of 14 could compete.
The first team of the Republic of Tatarstan became the winner of the competition. Their opponent in the final, the Togliatti-2 team, lost only one blow to the champions – 35:36. In third place, the team from the Nizhny Novgorod region.
Remember that in team fencing competitions each match consists of nine matches between teams of three active athletes and one substitute.
