The prospect of working next door to a new erotic center in Amsterdam has spooked Italian politicians, who have demanded that the headquarters of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) be moved from Amsterdam to Milan, the NL Times reported on March 16. .
According to Italian MEPs, the construction of the second “Red Light District” next to the EMA building will create unsafe working conditions for both the agency’s 900 employees and international delegates and experts who come to the EMA.
“They will be forced to cross an insecure zone characterized by the presence of drug traffickers, alcoholics and other elements of the social fund to reach the headquarters”, — Italian MEP Fulvio Martusello noted.
The deputy added that the location of the EMA headquarters should be reviewed, and also suggested moving the agency to Milan, which has all the conditions to guarantee security.
Let’s remember that in Amsterdam they plan to build an erotic center to relieve the constantly crowded Red Light District. Two of the three possible locations are in the area where the EMA building is located. At the same time, the distance between the agency’s headquarters and the new erotic center will be at least half a kilometer, the Amsterdam municipality assured.
