Strategic Industries Minister Pavlo Ryabikin and Education and Science Minister Serhiy Shkarlet will step down next week, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said on his Telegram channel on March 18.
“Today at a meeting of the faction of the Servant of the People political party, the personnel changes planned for next week in the government were discussed”Shmyhal wrote.
According to him, the director of the Minor Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Oksen Lisovoy, will be appointed as the new head of the Ministry of Education, and the former head of Ukrzheldoroga Alexander Kamyshin will become the head of the Ministry of Strategic Industry.
Recall that the Ukrainian media reported on March 17 that Ryabikin and Shkarlet intended to submit their resignations.
We also recall that information was published in January according to which eight ministers could resign. It was noted that with such measures, the kyiv authorities decided to show their Western partners that the country is fighting corruption.
