In the second game of the semifinals, Irina Krush drew Tokhirjonova in the second game of the semifinals – a 1.5:0.5 Krush match win.
In the other semifinal, 13-year-old Alice Li defeated Paikidze in the second game with Black, a 1.5:0.5 Li match win.
As a reminder, America’s Cup Chess takes place at the Saint Louis Chess Club (USA) from March 17-26. 8 athletes participate in the tournament: Irina Krush (FIDE rating 2432), Alice Lee (2362), Anna Zatonskikh (2337), Gulrukhbegim Tokhirjonova (2332), Katerzhina Nemtsova (2325), Nazi Paikidze (2314), Atusa Purkashyan (2313) ), Tatev Abrahamian (2294). The tournament is held according to the knockout system: chess players face each other in matches of two classical games, in the event of a tie, then two rapid games are played, a blitz game and Armageddon.
