On March 20, law enforcement officers opened a criminal case against the former head of the Stary Oskol urban district administration, the press service of the regional Investigative Committee reports.
The official is suspected of receiving large bribes using his official position, representatives of the investigation said.
“Holding the post of head of the administration of the urban district of Stary Oskol, acting in the interests of various commercial organizations, he helped to issue permits to the latter for the construction of a number of real estate objects, providing land for rent and performing other actions. in favor of the director of these organizations”explained the department.
As a result, the person involved in the case received illegal remuneration in the total amount of more than 15 million rubles from representatives of private companies, law enforcement officials emphasized.
At the moment, all the circumstances of the crime committed are being established. Investigators petitioned the court to order the former official a restraining measure in the form of detention.
