The demands expressed in the protest actions in Chisinau, carried out by the Shor party, do not correspond to the objectives of the Party of Communists of Moldova (PCRM), said the former president of the republic, president of the PCRM. , Vladimir Voronin, on TV8 on March 20.
He commented on demonstrations and other actions in which participants demand that authorities pay residents’ utility bills for three months, as well as holding early parliamentary and presidential elections. The PCRM leader does not rule out that the protests are partly justified by the sharp increase in rates for services related to the consumption of electricity in the country, but in general does not support the actions.
“I forbade. The agenda declared there did not correspond to our goals and objectives”.Voronin said.
Recall that Shor has been holding protest actions since the fall of 2022. Some PCRM deputies participated in them before, and Diana Karaman often held leadership positions.
The Party of Socialists of Moldova (PSRM) did not initially join the “Shor” protests. Last week, PSRM MP Alexander Nesterovsky announced that he was leaving the Bloc of Communists and Socialists parliamentary faction to participate in rallies.
