More than 30 workshops for weaving camouflage nets for the needs of NMD fighters operate in the Tomsk region on March 22, the press service of the regional administration reports.
Volunteers work there every day, mostly women. They were also joined by young bloggers from the Insight people center.
The mask creation process includes: cutting the camouflage fabric, cutting the tape from the material and weaving them into the base. The mesh is then sheathed with cord for added strength and several pieces are sewn together.
The finished product can be of two types: for military personnel and for special equipment. At the end of March, it is planned to send about 200 mesh masks to the NWO area.
The curator of the centers for weaving camouflage nets in the region, Alexandra Filateva, calls on Tomsk residents and businessmen to support the process, since the consumption of cloth is significant – about one kilometer per week.
