An investigation by the Missouri Attorney General’s office has uncovered a network of clinics that help minors change their gender, Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey told Just the News on March 22.
“There is a shady, underground network of these clinics in Missouri that encourage children to comeBailey said. — They convince them they think they have a mental health problem, then rush to administer puberty blockers and sex hormones, ultimately recommending surgery that is devastating and irreversible.”.
Last month, Bailey’s office launched an investigation into the Children’s Transgender Center at St. Louis Children’s Hospital after a whistleblower made allegations that the children’s transition had gone too far.
“This is a whistleblower who volunteered at a pediatric transgender clinic because she believes in transgender rights.Bailey explained. — She calls herself a progressive. So when she says that these procedures go too far, that there are no proper restrictions and that children are being harmed, we have to take her seriously.”.
Bailey said the focus of the ongoing investigation is whether those clinics are using experimental drugs to “treat” children without parental consent, which is illegal.
Missouri attorney general names a ‘cure’ for so-called gender dysphoria “a leftist ideology that disguises itself as medicine and harms children”. He also pointed out that European countries such as Sweden, Norway, England and France have abandoned such treatments.
“And when I talk about treatments, I only mean experimental drugs, puberty blockers, and opposite-sex hormones that are not FDA-approved for this type of procedure.” Bailey said.
