The Altai Territory authorities introduced special social payments for medical workers, Altai Territory Governor Viktor Tomenko said on March 22 at an expanded meeting of the regional Ministry of Health.
According to the governor, the problem of shortage of medical personnel has intensified after the covid situation. Viktor Tomenko said that according to the decree of the regional government No. 82, signed on March 16, a special social payment from the regional budget is established for workers providing medical care. The amount of the regional payments is similar to the existing federal payments.
“In addition to what is established by federal decisions, some 500 medical workers will become beneficiaries of the payments. For these purposes, about 70 million rubles are planned for 2023.said the governor.
He also explained that the validity of the decree was extended as of January 1, 2023, and that payments “in the near future” all employees will receive, including those who have not previously received federal welfare payments.
It should be noted that more than 12,000 medical workers currently receive federal special social payments in the Altai Territory.
