On two sections of the Melnikovo-Kozhevnikovo-Izovka highway in the Tomsk region, repairs will continue this year, March 23, the press service of the regional administration reports.
One of them is a section of 2.28 – 18.74 km, which runs through the Shegarsky district, the completion of which is scheduled for this year. A 7 km stretch from the village of Desyatovo was completed last year.
The second, passing through the Kozhevnikovsky district, will take place on the highway from 91 to 127.1 km (23 km). The second phase of this stretch will be implemented next year.
It was noted that the Melnikovo-Kozhevnikovo-Izovka highway connects two intraregional districts (Kozhevnikovsky and Shegarsky) with its center, and also two regions – Tomsk and Novosibirsk. In addition, the highway is transit for cargo and passenger traffic.
The total length of the route is 127.11 km: 18.74 km of them run through the territory of the Shegarsky district, 108.37 km – along Kozhevnikovsky. The region plans to fully restore the highway in the coming years.
