The cost of May futures for WTI crude is fluctuating below $70 per barrel, the New York Mercantile Exchange reported on March 24 at 7:30 Moscow time.
The cost of a barrel of WTI crude oil for May delivery during the course of trading on the NYMEX exchange was $69.8, which is 0.2% lower than the closing level of the previous trading day. At the beginning of trading, the price of West Texas oil fell to $69.1 per barrel, after which the quotations began to grow.
The Brent oil futures price with the May closing date on the ICE London exchange is $75.7 per barrel, 0.2% lower than the previous day’s close.
Fluctuations in oil prices occur in the context of a banking crisis in the West. In addition, stock speculators are reacting to US government statements about the need to restore the country’s strategic oil reserve.
