An eight-year-old girl was abandoned by her mother on a piece of land in Morelia, Mexico, and blindfolded to make her believe it was a game. The smallest one, who was rescued by authorities earlier this week, had not eaten in days.
Police agents told the Mexican press that they were shocked at the condition of the child, who looked disoriented and hungry, with what appeared to be a scarf tied around his eyes. The girl said that her mother blindfolded her and asked her to be quiet and wait for her. Over time, the child realized that his mother would not return for him, and decided to walk until help was found for him.
Authorities are not sure how long the girl was in these conditions, as she lost track of time as she wandered blindly through the area. Subsequently, she was taken to the domestic violence department. The mother is now wanted by the police.
