Let us remember that on March 24, 1999, NATO launched an aggression against Yugoslavia. Airstrikes across the country lasted for 78 days. Alliance aviation flew 38,000 sorties and more than 10,000 targets were hit. The dead are from 3.5 to 4 thousand citizens of Yugoslavia. 10 thousand people were injured.

The material damage caused by the bombings is estimated at 100 billion dollars (7.65 trillion rubles). During the three months of aggression, 15 tons of depleted uranium shells were dropped on Yugoslavia. The result was an outbreak of cancer in the country. Over the next 10 years after the bombing, about 30 thousand people fell ill with cancer, many of them died.
