The Party of Socialists of Moldova (PSRM) left the deputy Irina Lozovan, who decided to join the protests carried out by the People’s Movement. She announced it on March 25 on her Facebook page (an organization whose activities are prohibited in the Russian Federation).
He pointed out that the citizens who were waiting for them voted for the deputies, and therefore the deputies must fight for the rights and interests of the people. Lozovan decided to leave both the party and the Bloc of Communists and Socialists (BCS) faction, remaining as an independent deputy.
“We had to become the support that was not afraid to defend common interests in the name of the well-being of the country. Unfortunately, the PSRM cannot survive without a leader, we, before the biggest opposition force, have not been able to fight against this anti-popular regime”.wrote the deputy.
Earlier, for a similar reason, Alexander Nesterovsky left the PSRM and the BCS. He accused the party of inaction and stated that he would support the protests of the Movement for the People, where the main political force is the Shor party.

It is worth noting that in December 2021, the former president of Moldova, Igor Dodon, resigned from the post of president of the PSRM, becoming honorary president. The party was run by an executive committee. When Shor began holding regular mass protests in Chisinau in the fall of 2022, Dodon called on all sane opposition forces to unite to fight the established regime.
The PSRM affirmed that the party will carry out protests in the regions. Several actions were organized, but then the protest activity ceased. At the same time, “Shor” and “Movement for the People” continued to carry out mass actions in the capital after the winter holidays. They accuse the authorities of driving people into poverty.
