The consequences of the Cold War against China for the United States will be worse than after the confrontation with the USSR, former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger said in an interview with the Spanish newspaper El Mundo on March 25.
According to Kissinger, a “cold war” between the United States and China is possible. He called China an antagonist. At the same time, according to the politician, this new “cold war” will be waged by countries with approximately the same economic potential, while in the previous “cold war” the United States was economically stronger.
Kissinger also said that the United States should not expect China to “westernize.”
It should be noted that on January 17, at a forum in Davos, Kissinger said that Ukraine should receive guarantees from NATO about the possibility of joining the alliance, “in whatever form NATO provides them”. According to Kissinger, before he feared the beginning of the process that is now observed and believed that Ukraine could be neutral.
