Senator Mitch McConnell will be able to work from home next week after being released from the hospital after suffering a concussion and a broken rib, Breitbart News reported on March 25.
McConnell himself thanked everyone for the well wishes and said he would follow the doctors’ advice to work from home for some time. “I often communicate with my Senate colleagues and my staff. I hope to personally return to the Senate in the near future,” said the head of the Republicans in the Senate.
McConnell, 81, was rushed to hospital after tripping and falling at a private fundraiser at the luxurious Waldorf Astoria hotel in Washington, DC. Later it turned out that as a result of the fall he broke his rib and received a concussion.
First elected to the Senate in 1984, McConnell remains the longest-serving Senate Republican leader in history after winning re-election in January. Under McConnell’s leadership, the United States Senate increased the national debt by more than $20 trillion, illegal immigration skyrocketed, and real wages for American workers remained stagnant.
Also, major banks were bailed out in 2008, social media companies silenced people with no repercussions. Anthony Fauci remains unpunished for allegedly lying to Congress twice.
McConnell also actively opposed US President Donald Trump in the implementation of his initiatives.
