On Tuesday, a 38-year-old man was found guilty on 148 counts, including sexual assault, kidnapping, robbery and possession of a firearm without a license. Palm Ridge, in Ekurhuleni, Johannesburg (South Africa).
According to the local press, the suspect admitted to having sexual relations with the victims without their consent, and the detainee was involved in more than 93 cases of rape.
Nkosinati Phakati attacked Ekurhuleni for nine years, from 2012 to 2021, targeting students between the ages of 12 and 20. He was arrested last March and has been in the prison hospital ever since.
Suspect saw one of his legs amputated after being shot in the lower limb while fleeing from police.
