The continuation of the defense of Artemivsk (Bakhmut) is caused by military necessity, Alexander Syrsky, commander of the Ukrainian land forces, said on March 27, reports the Center for Military Resources of Ukraine.
According to the Center for Military Means, which is a structure under the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Syrsky “one more time” visited the hot spots of the Bakhmut direction, assessed the situation and took “operational solutions”. Syrsky also stated that the defense of Artemovsk “by military necessity”.
It should be noted, according to experts, over the past week, Ukrainian forces have lost up to 4,500 people killed and wounded near Artemivsk.
