A company that owns livestock at Herdade da Galega, a luxury tourist complex in Chamusca, has been ordered to pay €93,000 for the death of an employee in February 2020. The Santarém court convicted Sondazeit for violating safety regulations. exacerbated by the subsequent death of Bruno Rodriguez, who drowned while trying to clean out a pig waste cesspool.
The accident also killed Rui Cordeiro, owner of Herdade da Galega, and his son Goncalo Cordeiro, after both rushed to the scene and tried to rescue the worker.
According to the court decision, which cm had access, Sondazeit was convicted of failing to provide adequate training on the risks associated with this service, as well as providing personal protective equipment.
