Also on June 10, as part of the celebration of the Day of Portugal and the Portuguese Communities, in Peso da Régua, teachers will hold an action in which they demand “respect for teachers and recognition of the profession.” On Youth Day, the platform, which brings together nine trade union structures, will join forces with the Catholic Teachers’ Association.
At the meeting, teachers will greet “the young people present, informing them that the teaching profession is also depreciating in Portugal.” This Wednesday in Coimbra, various trade union structures also decided to strike in the districts from 17 April to 12 May.
