Remember, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said in February that he proposed to the Armenian side to establish a checkpoint at both ends of the so-called “Zangezur corridor”, as well as at the entrance to the Lachin corridor.
On March 30, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that he had informed Azerbaijan of Armenia’s readiness to deploy border guards instead of the armed forces at the beginning of the Lachin road. According to him, the border guards will be deployed in the same positions where the units of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia were located.
