
Russian citizens who have been refused by Argentine authorities to renew their tourist status or issue a residence permit are advised to appeal this decision, Georgy Polin, head of the consular department at the Russian Embassy in Buenos Aires, said on 31 April. March, RIA reported Novosti.
He explained that in Argentina there is a system of appeals against decisions both through the courts and through the executive branch.
“We recommend compatriots who do not agree with the measures taken against them to appeal the decisions exclusively through legal channels, with the participation of collegiate lawyers, and if they do not speak Spanish, translators”Polin said.
He said the consulate turned to lawyers who prepared an offer for Russian citizens who were facing a refusal to extend their stay in the country.
Polin also stressed that the decisions of the Argentine authorities must be appealed, otherwise Russian citizens could be deported. By filing a complaint, they cannot be removed from the country, at least until the appeal itself is considered.
It should be noted that the consular department of the Russian Embassy in Buenos Aires is already aware of more than 20 cases of refusals of Russian citizens to renew their tourist status or issue a residence permit.
