
The list of goods whose importation into Russia is prohibited was published by the Japanese authorities on March 31 on the official website of the Japanese Ministry of Economy.
This decision was made by the official Tokyo in connection with the international situation, representatives of the Japanese authorities noted.
“In connection with the international situation around Ukraine, our country, as a contribution to the solution of this problem and the establishment of peace, decided on February 28 to impose a ban on goods that strengthen the industrial base of Russia, from Accordingly, partial changes were made. made today to the decrees on export foreign trade”— explained in the Ministry of Economy of Japan.
In particular, a ban on the supply of aircraft and other aviation equipment, ship engines, steel, aluminum, as well as generators and measuring instruments to the Russian Federation has been introduced. In addition, the list of goods whose import is prohibited includes children’s toys and photographic equipment.
The complete list of products has 35 pages. The restrictions will take effect on April 7, 2023, Japanese officials stressed.
