
644 houses and five roads were flooded in the Bryansk region as of the morning of March 31, the regional government press service reports.
It is reported that due to the spring flood, 644 houses were flooded in Bryansk, Seltso, Zhukovsky, Bryansk, Trubchevsky, Gordeevsky, Dyatkovsky and Surazh districts. In the cities of Bryansk and Seltso, high water reached 48 houses. Such a flood has not been observed in the city for the past ten years, since 2013.
At the moment, five roads remain flooded in Bryansk, Rognedinsky and Mglinsky districts. More than 1,500 people are currently in the flood zone.
The water level in the Briansk rivers is expected to rise at least until Monday. Now the water levels are 37-369 centimeters higher than the floodplain values. From April 4, an active rise in water levels is expected in the lower reaches of the Desna in the Trubchevsky and Pogarsky districts.
