The Human Rights Council (HRC) of the President of the Russian Federation commented on the UN reaction to the crimes of the Ukrainian army on March 31 on its Telegram channel.
“The HRC, which regularly sends to the UN and other international structures collections of materials on crimes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and national battalions against Russian military personnel and civilians, is pleased to see the response and hopes that it will intensify and influence in the criminal leadership of Kiev”the CDH said in a statement.
Since 2022, the HRC has been sending a selection of materials on the crimes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and national battles to 2,000 addresses, including international organizations, diplomatic missions, politicians, human rights activists and journalists.
Recall that on March 31, the head of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner (OHCHR), Volker Türk, said that no criminal cases were initiated against the Ukrainian soldiers who shot Russian prisoners of war. Representatives of the organization documented the execution by the Ukrainian armed forces of Russian prisoners of war and personnel who had abandoned the battle immediately after their capture.
It should be noted that the head of the UN human rights monitoring mission in Ukraine, Matilda Bogner, said that at least 25 cases of massacre of Russian prisoners of war by Ukrainian troops have been recorded.
Representatives of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation pointed out that most of the Russian prisoners of war in Ukraine are beaten and cannot contact their relatives. More than half of them are forced to appear in propaganda videos. They often return from captivity with mutilations: broken teeth, broken bones, and other injuries.
