A meeting with the vice-premier of Cuba, Jorge Luis Perdomo, was held on March 31 by the president of China’s National Development and Reform Commission, Zheng Shanjie, reports Prensa Latina.
The Commission is responsible for cooperation in the field of biotechnology, joint projects under the One Belt, One Road initiative. The meeting with Zheng took place on the second day of the Cuban Vice Prime Minister’s working visit to China to discuss projects in priority sectors for both parties, such as biotechnology, health and telecommunications.
Perdomo leads a large delegation from the island and will have a busy schedule in the coming days. He also plans to meet with other government agencies and companies in the Asian giant.
Previously, Perdomo met with the Minister of Industry and Information Technology, Jin Zhuanglong; Luo Zhaohui, president of the Agency for International Development, and Zeng Yixin, vice president of China’s National Health Commission.
