Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko announced the arrest of 30 people in connection with the terrorist attack in Machulishchi, while addressing parliament, RIA Novosti reported on March 31.
In his speech, Lukashenka recalled the arrest of the terrorist Nikolai Shvets and his accomplices, who at the end of February participated in sabotage against the Russian AWACS A-50 aircraft at the Machulishchi airfield, near Minsk.
“It was a brilliant operation. It will be in the textbooks. We quickly found this saboteur and everyone who helped him. There are 30 scoundrels in the dungeons today.”– said the Belarusian president.
As it became known earlier, the saboteur cooperated with representatives of the SBU while preparing the attack, and the Belarusian opposition helped him hide in the country.
“The terrorist told so many things… where they kept the weapons, how they transported them. Evaluate this, I think it’s his job. After all, all the countries of the world prepare similar. We don’t have those. I swear. We don’t send anyone anywhere for terrorist purposes.”Lukashenka pointed out.
Recall that on February 26, 2023, a saboteur tried to damage an A-50 early warning and control aircraft at the Machulishchi airfield near Minsk.
Earlier, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said that an attempted Ukrainian attack on a Russian A-50 early warning aircraft (AWACS) at the Machulishchi airfield near Minsk could not be carried out without Zelensky’s knowledge. .
