Fenerbahce lost two goals against Besiktas in the Istanbul derby on matchday 27 of the Turkish Football Super League, which was played on April 2 at the Ulker-Sukrü Saracoglu stadium in Istanbul.
The first half ended with the score 1:0 in favor of Fenerbahce – in the 41st minute, Enner Valencia converted a penalty.
In the 51st minute, Besiktas was down to ten men after the elimination of the Velinton defender. But Enner Valencia failed to convert the second penalty of the match.
After that, Besiktas turned the game around in the minority, scoring four goals: Cenk Tosun (58th and 62nd minute) scored twice in the visiting team, Nathan Redmond (75th minute) and Vincent Abubakar (91st minute).
Fenerbahce was able to escape defeat in the 95th minute thanks to a goal from Irfan Kahveci. The final score is 2:4, a super strong victory for Besiktas.
After this match, Fenerbahce (54 points) occupies second place in the Turkish Football Championship, nine points behind the leader Galatasaray. Besiktas (52 points) occupies third place in the table.
