The Artemis II mission is scheduled to launch in 2024, NASA Administrator Bill Nelson has confirmed.

NASA has introduced the first four astronauts, including a woman and an African Americanwhich will crew Artemis missions, with which the agency projects return to the moon50 years after the Apollo missions.
The launch of the Artemis II mission is planned for 2024as confirmed by the administrator of NASA, Bill Nelson, in an act at the Johnson Center of the space agency in Houston.
It’s about the Americans Gregory R. Wisemanas commander, the African American Victor J Glover as a pilot, and mission specialists christina kochalso from NASA, and Jeremy Hansonthe latter astronaut of the CSA (Canadian Space Agency).

The mission, of about 10 days longwill test the life support systems of the Orion spacecraft, attached to ESA’s service module, to demonstrate the capabilities and techniques necessary to live and work in deep space in a way that humans can, reports NASA .
Artemis II builds on the successful flight test Artemis Iwhich launched an uncrewed Orion spacecraft, mounted on the SLS rocket, on a journey of about 2.25 million kilometers beyond the Moon to test the systems before astronauts fly aboard the systems on a mission to the surface of the Moon.
