A high risk of avalanches is expected in the mountains of the Krasnodar Territory, Adygea and the North Caucasian Federal District in the next seven days. This was announced on April 3 by the All-Russian Research Institute of Civil Defense and Emergencies (VNII GOChS).
“VNII GOChS scientists predict a high risk of avalanches, including wet ones, and the sliding of snow masses with blocking of road sections and damage to infrastructure”says the message.
Experts point to the persistence of avalanche danger in the Murmansk region, where about 200 avalanches have descended since the beginning of the avalanche period.
Earlier, a warning was announced about a high avalanche danger in the mountains of the Krasnodar Territory and Adygea from March 30 to April 1. Then the experts predicted a high risk of avalanches at a height of more than 1.5 thousand meters.
