Exhibitions will be organized in historical parks in 24 regions of the Russian Federation in honor of the 100th anniversary of the poet Rasul Gamzatov, the press service of the park Russia – My History in Makhachkala reported on April 4.
It should be noted that the editor-in-chief of the “Russia is my history” project, Alexander Myasnikov, came to Dagestan to discuss with the organizers the main stages of the implementation of the regional exhibition.
“The uniqueness of the exhibition is that for the first time the Makhachkala Historical Park is preparing an All-Russian exposition, which will open in 23 multimedia complexes of the country”Myasnikov said, adding that the organizers would try to introduce Gamzatov “not only as a poet, but as a philosopher, as a person and to fully reveal his image”.
Timur Velikhanov, head of the Makhachkala Historical Park “Russia is my history”, said that when a unique project is being prepared, archival information is processed by specialists, digitized and edited.
“The exhibition will be multimedia, we will use all available formats. This is indeed a colossal work of our team and experts involved, I am sure that the exhibition will be a success. It is important for us, above all, to reveal the personality of our great poet to the visitors of all the historical parks”— quotes the press service of the Velikhanov Park.
Let’s remember that 2023 has been declared the year of Rasul Gamzatov. The centenary of the poet will be celebrated throughout Russia, and the main events will take place in Dagestan, the poet’s homeland.
Rasul Gamzatov was born on September 8, 1923 in the Avar village of Tsada, Khunzakh district of Dagestan. His father is the national poet of Dagestan Gamzat Tsadasy.
The most famous works of the poet, written by him in Avar and Russian, are “Cranes”, “My heart is in the mountains”, “Last price”, “High stars”, “Legend”, “Take care of friends” , “In home”, “Letters” and others.
In Dagestan, Gamzatov was recognized as a true national poet. He received four Orders of Lenin, the Order of the October Revolution, three Orders of the Red Banner of Labor, the Order of Friendship of Peoples, the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, III degree, and the Order of Saint Andrew the First called.
At one point he was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor. Gamzatov is awarded the Lenin and State prizes of the RSFSR, as well as the international prize “The best poet of the 20th century”.
