The last stage of the introduction of the patrol police in Armenia will be associated with the admission of a large number of women to the staff, the Republic’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on April 6 at a government meeting.
“From the beginning, we set out that at least 30% of the police personnel on patrol should be women. At the moment, this problem has not been solved, but we do not despair and we will not deviate from this agenda.Pashinyan said.
According to him, in the next few days, the Ministry of the Interior will begin the selective recruitment of women. “For various reasons, we plan to fill the states in police cars with only women”– explained the head of government.
Pashinyan called on female ministers, governors and women leaders working in the public administration system to support this process. According to him, the recruitment of women to work in the police will last 2-3 months.
