The aftermath of the four children who were killed in the Brazilian city of Blumenau in the south of the country in an attack on a children’s school on Wednesday evokes an atmosphere of horror in the entire population.
Dozens of mourners gathered at Blumenau Kindergarten to pray, lay flowers in memory of the victims aged 5 to 7 and mourn their deaths. At least four other children were injured in the attack, the second at a Brazilian school in ten days, putting pressure on the government to find solutions to contain this kind of attack.
Employees of the kindergarten Cantinho do Bom Pastor, where four children died, and even residents of distant areas brought candles and prayed in front of the main gate of the educational building.
