Three spectators were arrested this Saturday during a security operation at a handball derby between Benfica and Sporting CP: one for attacking the lion captain Salvador Salvador, another for harassing the authorities, and a third for failing to comply with the ban.

The same source explained that a Benfica fan was detained after the game for attacking the “green and white” player El Salvador El Salvador, and a Sporting fan was detained for assaulting an official.
Earlier, a source in the Office for the Prevention and Combating Violence in Sports (APCVD) had already told Lusa that a “red” fan had been detained in the enclosure for failing to comply with the ban on sports facilities.
