A military explosive device discovered mid-Sunday by a fisherman in Praia da Raposa has already been detonated by Navy sappers. cm with the fleet. The device was found on a beach near the Pinheiro da Cruz prison in the municipality of Grandola.

Prior to the explosion, Commander Serrano Augusto of Setúbal Marine Police Captain reported cm after activating a team of Navy sappers, “proceed either to neutralize the explosive device or to extract it.”
“We have set up a security perimeter at Raposa Beach. We expect that by 17.30 the situation will be resolved. We think that it could be a mortar, but without checking the inscriptions on the ammunition, it is impossible to verify whether it belongs to the Navy, ”the military concluded.
