The intern who reported eleven cases of alleged negligence at the Hospital de Faro is now unable to continue her internship in the Surgical Service because she has no doctors to refer her.
It was through an internal letter sent to the director of the hospital that the person in charge of the surgical service reported the unavailability.
Horacio Guerreiro, clinical director, denies that there is a suspension and adds that the continuity of Diana Carvalho Pereira’s internship will be assessed after clinical trials are currently underway.
A trainee doctor on vacation outside the country reacted on social media this Wednesday to the defamation allegations: “I’m not afraid of what they might do to me,” he added.
