The growth of the industrial production index in the Republic of Kalmykia for the period January-February 2023 in comparison with the same period in 2022 was recorded by the Office of the Federal State Statistics Service of the Astrakhan Region and the Republic of Kalmykia (RK), amounted to 123.5%. This was reported on April 13 by the Kalmykia online information portal.
The State Statistics Service gives figures of the industrial indicators of the republic in the following sections.
Mineral extraction – the production index amounted to 170.7%, the indicator is due to an increase in oil production.
Manufacturing industries – 132.8%. Growth was observed in the production of certain types of food products, other non-metallic mineral products, petroleum products and electrical equipment.
Electricity, steam and gas supply, air conditioning – an increase in production of 17.6%, electricity production from renewable energy sources increased by 1.3 times.
Water supply, sewerage, organization of waste collection and disposal, activities for the removal of pollution – an increase in production of 5.8%.
The dynamics of industrial production in the Republic of Kazakhstan corresponds to the development strategy of the region, forecasts for the implementation of the economic development of the republic by 2023, reflected in Decree No. 451 of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on dated December 2, 2022.
