The Krasnodar Territory was among the winners of the first national “Smart City” award and received a gold diploma. This was reported on April 13 on the regional government website.
The award was given to the region for the best performance in involving citizens in solving urban environmental problems. The resort city of Sochi took third place for success in the work of the municipal control center.
“This is a well-deserved result of the teamwork of the authorities of the region and municipalities, the Regional Management Center and the municipal centers”– said the head of the Kuban SDG Yuri Shevchenko, adding that the active position of the inhabitants of the region is no less important in this process.
Let us remember that the Smart City project was launched 5 years ago to increase the share of digital technologies in urban management. In total, more than 200 applications from 51 regions were submitted for the current competition. The best of them will be featured throughout the country.
