This Wednesday the inspections of ships have resumed due to the agreement reached with the mediation of the UN on the safe export of cereals from the Ukrainian ports of the Black Sea.
Poland accepted this Tuesday lift the transit ban on Ukrainian grain and food productsalthough Ukraine claimed that the war agreement allowing it to safely transport grain from Black Sea ports remained under threat.
Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Oleksandr Kubrakovhas declared today that the inspections of ships are already resuming due to the agreement, reached with the mediation of the UN after two days of talks.
On the other hand, he has stated that Russian inspectors have tried to prevent the passage of the ships that were to transport grain from the Ukraine.
Failure to resume exports to Eastern European countries or an extension of the agreement would result in large amounts of grain being trapped in Ukraine, affecting its exports and causing further economic problems for Kiev.
Meanwhile, import bans remain in place in Poland, Slovakia and Hungaryin order to protect their markets from an influx of cheaper supply after the Russian invasion of the Ukraine.
