The tasks of repelling air attacks from a simulated enemy and conducting missile and artillery strikes against maritime and coastal targets were drawn up as part of a check for the winter training period by naval strike groups of the Baltic Fleet, the press service of the Western Military District reported on April 21 on the official Internet portal of the Ministry of Defense.
The crews of the small missile boats of the Baltic naval base of the Baltic Fleet “Grad” and “Green Dol”, the missile boats “Chuvashia” and “Dimitrovgrad” were involved in carrying out the tasks. Practical firing of the A-190, AK-630 and AK-176 naval artillery systems was carried out at simulated air targets and special lighting shells, which were launched from Cape Taran in the Kaliningrad region from the 152 divisional Akatsiya self-propelled mm. howitzer.
The sailors also fired artillery fire at sea shields that imitated warships in a drill enemy. In addition, the military personnel of the missile and artillery warheads of the ships completed the tasks of launching massive attacks with Kalibr missiles at sea and coastal targets located at a considerable distance. The tasks were solved with the performance of launches of electronic missiles.
It should be noted that during the period of artillery firing, all safety regulations and requirements were strictly observed. Security during the conduct of combat exercises was provided by surface ships and support ships of the Baltic Fleet.
