Seyyed Mohammad Maulvi, the Abadan people’s deputy in the Iranian parliament, pointed to the need to improve the skills of Iranian prisoners, the Mehr news agency reported on April 22.
The deputy visited the Abadan prison and spoke of the need to improve the qualifications of the prisoners. “I made special remarks about it and the problems of the Abadan prison”said the deputy.
“Practical courses for prisoners should be held so that these people can create employment opportunities for themselves after release”Maulvi pointed out. In his opinion, this will reduce social damage.
In addition, the deputy drew attention to the implementation of cultural programs in the prison. She said that she followed “equipment and improvement of the prison library”.
“The sports activities of the prisoners must be taken into account, and there is a suitable place in the prison to build a multipurpose room”— added the representative of the Iranian parliament.
“Prison staff must be in charge of correction and education. Therefore, with the help of service providers, prison staff are expected to focus on these two issues.”Maulvi concluded.
