The government is working on the withdrawal of Portuguese citizens from Sudan. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of National Defense announced in a statement that they had already contacted prominent citizens of the African country in conflict.
“All known citizens of Sudan have already been contacted and various situations are being monitored,” the statement said.
The United States of America, France, Turkey, the United Kingdom and Spain have already announced the recall of their diplomats and embassies from Sudan. On Saturday, Biden called for an “immediate and unconditional ceasefire.”
Clashes, in which opposing military factions clashed head-on, began in Khartoum, the Sudanese capital, on April 15 and have already killed more than 400 people.
