The day of worship of Tsagan Aava (White Elder), the Patron of the Earth, was celebrated by the believers of Kalmykia on April 22. Lamas from the Kalmyk Buddhist Union performed a traditional ritual, making offerings to Tsagan Aava with a request for well-being for all the inhabitants of the region. More than 400 people participated in this year’s celebration. In the temple of Tsagan Aava, the lamas made offerings to the figure of the White Elder, they turned to him with a request for well-being.
