This is the moment a man was kicked off a plane for reaching for a cigarette while the plane was waiting to take off.
A video showed police unloading passengers from a flight from Melbourne, Australia, to Bali on Tuesday.
He decided to turn it on when the plane was delayed on the tarmac for more than four hours.
However, his decision angered the other passengers as the flight was further delayed due to his ejection.
The video, posted on TikTok by passenger Sinead Merrett, says the man chose to “light the arrow.”
The flight was finally allowed to take off after the man was taken away at 12:51 a.m. Wednesday, some 13 hours after the passengers arrived and landed at their destination, Denpasar airport.
A Jetstar spokesperson said in a statement: “Smoking, using e-cigarettes or using e-cigarettes is not permitted on Jetstar aircraft in Australian airport terminals or concourses.”
In June, a passenger was removed from a flight at Manchester Airport for smoking electronic cigarettes.
The 20-year-old had planned to go to Ibiza, but he did not even leave the asphalt.
He was arrested, surrounded by eight police officers and placed in the back seat of a van.
Witnesses called it “Hammer”.
His friends are believed to have continued their journey to Spain 90 minutes earlier.
A police spokesman confirmed that the man has been charged and will appear before a magistrate in August.
A Ryanair spokesman said: “The crew of this flight from Manchester to Ibiza on June 11 sought police assistance before departure after a vaporized passenger was found on board.
“In accordance with the policy, smoking and the use of electronic cigarettes on board the plane is strictly prohibited at all times and the passenger was escorted by the police.”
